Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-16
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Ethan
Allen, an individual operating as “Statmeet” (“we”, “us”, “the operator”), governing
your use of the Cards application and related sites at statmeet.com,
cards.statmeet.com, and dev.statmeet.com (“the Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Cards is a federated project-management and card-tracking application built on the AT Protocol (the network that also powers Bluesky). The Service is provided by an individual and is offered free of charge and on an as-is, best-effort basis. It may be incomplete, experimental, or in active development, and features may change or be discontinued at any time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You sign in with an existing AT Protocol identity. You are responsible for maintaining the security of that identity and of any MCP tokens or API keys you configure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us promptly at admins@statmeet.com of any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy (/acceptable-use),
which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violating it is a violation of these
Terms.
4. Your content
- You own the content you create (cards, notes, decks, workflows, votes, and other material). We claim no ownership of it.
- You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
- You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the rights to it.
- You are responsible for keeping your own backups; while we take reasonable care, we do not guarantee against data loss.
5. Federation and public content
When you mark content as federated, it is published to your Personal Data Server (PDS) and to the public AT Protocol / Bluesky network. Such content is public, may be copied, cached, and indexed by third parties, and cannot reliably be deleted across the network. You are responsible for what you choose to federate, and federated content is also subject to the rules of the broader network.
6. AI features
The Service offers optional AI features powered by Anthropic (Claude). When you use them, your prompts and relevant card/deck data are sent to Anthropic for processing, subject to Anthropic’s terms. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete — you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them.
7. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties including the AT Protocol / Bluesky network, your PDS host, Anthropic, and our hosting provider. We are not responsible for the availability, acts, or omissions of those third parties, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
8. Intellectual property
Except for your content, the Service and its software, design, and trademarks (including “Statmeet”) are owned by the operator or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding. Portions of the Service may be made available under separate open-source licenses, which govern in case of conflict for that code.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that data will not be lost, or that defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH, FOR A FREE SERVICE, IS USD $0), OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of certain liabilities, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your content within the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4–11) will survive.
13. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version; material changes will be indicated where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of NJ/US, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts located in Monmouth County, New Jersey will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, except where prohibited by applicable law.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the Service.
